The founding members of APITA; All Interline Vacations, Dargal Interline, Dynamic Interline Travel, ID90.COM, Interlining Plus, Interline World Vacations, Interline Vacations and Interline Value Vacations are pleased to invite qualified Interline agencies to apply to join our Association of Professional Travel Agents.

MISSION AND PRINCIPLES

The Mission of the APITA is to foster growth of the Interline distribution network by providing our clients, the airline employees and their families, a positive travel experience with a high level of value and integrity, while strengthening our industry’s roll as a strategic and integral part of our supplier’s business environment.                   BACK



KEY OBJECTIVES

  • To develop a strong, productive and common standard between member interline agencies and their travel partners/suppliers.

  • To foster goodwill and mutual understanding worldwide with our clients, and travel partners/suppliers.

  • To encourage and assist in the professional development of member interline agencies.

  • To work together to resolve disputes between member agencies, suppliers and/or clients.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • The applying agency must be a legally registered enterprise in good standing within their local jurisdiction.

  • The applying agency must have all required licenses, travel registrations, bonds and insurance as required in their local jurisdiction.

  • The applying agency must be currently selling travel products in the interline marketplace and must be primarily in the business of selling travel services.

  • The applying agency must agree to abide by APITA’s  Code of Ethics and current By-laws.

  • The applying agency shall not have had any of their contracts cancelled or selling privileges revoked by a travel supplier for unethical conduct or contract abuse, subject to review by the APITA Board.

  • The applying agency shall have written recommendations from at least 3 travel partners/suppliers.                                     BACK


 
ENROLLMENT PROCESS

To start the enrollment process, the owner or authorized manager of the applying agency needs to complete the enrollment application and produce the 3 letters of recommendation.  This information can be faxed, mailed, or emailed to the APITA Membership Committee Attn:

Once your application has been received, the following will occur:

The membership committee will review your documentation and will contact the suppliers that have supplied you with letters of support and may contact other suppliers and airlines for additional feedback. 

The applicant will be sent a copy of APITA’s By-laws and Code of Ethics for signature confirming that they have read, understood and agree to abide by the By-laws and Code of Ethics of APITA.  In addition, the applicant may be contacted and interviewed via telephone by a member of the membership committee.

When all forms received and requirements have been met, the applicants name will be put forth to the general membership who shall vote on acceptance or rejection of the applicant. A simple majority will suffice as a deciding vote.

Finally upon acceptance, the applicant will be invoiced $ 500.00 US as a joining fee and membership dues for the first calendar year.  Upon receipt of the $500.00 US, the applicant will be inducted as an official member of APITA.                                                                  BACK
