Non-revenue and reduced-rate passengers are
required to dress in accordance with Air Jamaica’s
standards. Passengers should check in dressed
as they plan to travel, and travel attire may not be
altered en route. Transportation will be
denied to non-revenue/reduced rate passengers who
are not suitably dressed.
Passengers are expected to be well-groomed, neat and
clean, wearing traditional or casual business
attire. Regulations have recently been relaxed
to allow the comfort and convenience of travel in
jeans (except for First Class on our London route).
MALE
Pants - Dress slacks, casual style pants including
“Dockers” and jeans - fitted not baggy.
Shirts - Oxford style button down shirts, normal or
casual dress shirts with collars (golf/polo style)
which must be worn inside of pants, turtlenecks or
sweaters. Shoes - Casual sport shoes (leather deck
shoes and loafers) business shoes or dress shoes.
Socks must be worn. Sport coats, jackets and ties
are desirable but not mandatory.
FEMALE
Dress - Conservative dresses, skirts or knee length shorts.
Pants - Dress slacks, casual style pants, jeans,
coordinated skirt/pants and blouse/sweater
combinations. Shoes - Casual sport shoes
(leather deck shoes, loafers, dress sandals). Neat,
tidy hairstyles.
UNACCEPTABLE
ATTIRE - Any Class
Clothing
items that are torn, frayed or patched. Clothing
with offensive terminology. Gym-type clothing such
as sweat shirts/pants,
jogging or warm-up outfits, shorts.
Provocative, revealing and tight fitting clothing.
Clothing with gaping holes, including designer
holes.
T-shirts, Midriff and Tank tops.
Spaghetti-strap dresses and halter tops, strapless
tops / dresses, mini skirts.
Sleeveless or muscle shirts, and undergarments worn
as outer garments.
Bare feet, beach sandals, sneakers, thong-type or
casual step-on sandals.
Jeans which are ripped, baggy, patterned faded
(shabby), or fitted too closely.
UNACCEPTABLE
ATTIRE - First Class
Jeans
(London service only). Children must be twelve (12) years and over to be
eligible for travel in First Class and must be
dressed in accordance with dress code regulations
for adults.
